Why Wrestle?
Norwalk Youth Wrestling's - "Mad Bull Wrestling Club" is a chartered USA Wrestling* (USAW) club open to all area students from 1st Grade through 8th Grade. Winter practices will be held at the Norwalk High School, in the wrestling room Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's from 6:00-7:30 PM beginning November 1st. The season will continue through February.
All members will be taught the fundamentals of folk style wrestling through simple instruction and repetition. During Practice we will provide a learning atmosphere and develop team camaraderie. We will minimize the focus on winning, while stressing technique, effort and sportsmanship.

Coach Randy Haus:
Then:
I grew up in a small Minnesota town where I was one of 9 children, here my 4 brother's and I would fight all the time. Mom would always tell us to "take it outside!" where we would wrestle. From there I started in Middle school organized wrestling. Once I started winning matches I was hooked. In high school I was named MVP in my junior year and then captain as a senior. I also helped coach youth teams and wrestled in state and national Freestyle and Greco tournaments throughout the Midwest. Wrestling helped me get into St. Johns University in Minnesota where I wrestled for 2 years before ending my career. I transferred to University of Minnesota where I received a degree in Economics.
Now - Norwalk Dad:
Now I am an East Norwalk Dad, and Certified USA wrestling coach where my wife Jen and I are, raising 2 boys and 2 girls. Over the past 2 years I have been assisting at the successful New Canaan Wrestling program but decided it was time for Norwalk to have it's own team. Wrestling provided me with a foundation that built self confidence and self discipline. It helped me set goals and achieve those goals. For that I am forever grateful which makes me very excited about starting this program for the young people of our community
Coach Art Schad:
A native or Red Hook, NY-now living in Easton Ct. Art was an all-state wrestler in New York in high school before wrestling at college for Southern Connecticut State University. He has an extensive background in Folkstyle, Freestyle as well as Greco-Roman.
